The NFL:

The NFL has jumped on the L.A. fire bandwagon, promoting a moment of silence before the league’s wild card games this past weekend.

Brian complains that the NFL’s motives are financial and monetarily motivated, and has nothing to do with the 32 billionaires who run the league actually caring about the victims.

Brian was also tiffed when he saw an ad from the NFL and American Red Cross online. The NFL, quite literally, will suck the blood out of their fans.

Redskins/Commanders: Brian congrats to a long-suffering fan base, many he counts as friends. Discussion leads to the importance of good ownership and a head coach when it comes to being successful in the NFL.

AJ Brown Book Club:

Eagles WR A.J. Brown was caught reading a book on the sideline Saturday. All of the attention has been very good for book sales. "Inner Excellence" by Jim Murphy, jumped to the top spot on Amazon's trending list after previously being ranked 523,497th.

Philly Fanatics: Staying in Philadelphia, Eagles Ryan Caldwell was fired from his place of employment after his bad behavior was caught on camera and posted world wide on social media. Brian and Gary discuss unsportsmanlike behavior, attending games in Philly, and if the victim’s fiance is culpable in any way.

The End of Over-Socialization: Has the past 125 years/20th Century been the exception to the rule in how much people actually socialize with each other? It seems as a society we’re starting to regress, to be more solitary and anti-social.

Unified Bocce Ball: Brian attended a high school sporting event this past week featuring players with disabilities. Players, along with their partners, play bocce ball.

The Special Olympics of Pennsylvania has partnered with PIAA to provide opportunities for students. “The mission of Special Olympics PA is to provide year-round sports training and competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community.”

Fund Raising: Brian and Gary talk about the onslaught of fundraising, from travel baseball teams, Disney trips, trips to Europe, and Yeti coolers!

Celebrity Sighting: Brian’s sister-in-law met a celebrity in Nashville this past weekend. Hint: Gary loves her.
