Biden Drops Out: The president took to Twitter/X on Sunday afternoon to reveal he would “stand down” for the party and the country, after weeks of daily harassment from “party elites”, including former President Obama, former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, Senate majority leader Chuck Schumer, current Speaker of the House, Hakeem Jeffries, and Hollywood actor/producer George Clooney. The president is expected to address the nation on Wednesday.
Kamala: The current vice president seems to have gathered enough delegates to avoid any serious contention at next month’s convention. Should Democrats be worried she never earned one vote in a primary? I get a sense of Impostor-syndrome every time I watch her speak!
Not-So-Secret: Secret Service director Kimberly Cheatle resigns a day after a horrible showing in front of congressional committee, and more than a week after an assassination attempt on former President, Donald Trump.

So What on Substack: Brian has been really enjoying fellow Substacker Chris Cillizza, who writes

According to ABC News: Almost 10% of Florida's residents are age 75 and older, second only to Puerto Rico among U.S. states and the territory. And does he now consider himself a Floridian?
